Liability or Insurance?
Moving companies are allowed to accept liability only. IT is against the law for movers
to insure your items. Most moving companies accept the standard ICC regulations of $0.60 per pound per article.
However, some moving comapnies accept more than or less than the $0.60 per pound per article.
Most moving companies offer upgraded liability or full value liability for an additional cost. Generally, standard liability
and upgrade liability will come with a deductible.
BEWARE!
Some moving companies say "We damage it! We fix it!" If this happens, Topline
Movers suggests that you get this in writing and have a Notary Public to endorse this for your protection. Remember,
many moving companies do not opperate their business with integrity and will tell you what you want to hear. Be clear on what
you are being told.
Topline Movers accepts the standard liability of $0.60 per pound
per article with a $250.00 deductible.
Topline Movers offers an upgrade to $3.00 per pound per article for
an additional $75.00 with a $250.00 deductible.
Topline Movers also offers full value liability for an additional
cost.

The deductible must be met by the customer before replacement or settlement.
Topline Movers reserves the right to repair before replace.
Things to remember about Topline Movers Liability:
Liability covers only items that are boxes, furtinure is excluded from this. However, pictures,
lamps, lamp shades, and anything that is not furniture must be placed in a box for Topline Movers to accept
liability.
Topline Movers liability does not include liability for precious stone and glass
unless crated by a professional crater.
Topline Movers will not be held liable for boxes packed by shipper or other moving
companies.
Topline Movers is not responsible for damages caused by storage or transportation
of household goods when Topline Movers is not contracted for storage or transportation.
